Dear Lady and Gentlemen Members
As many of you may have heard, I have informed the committee that I will be stepping down as Club President after this years AGM in November. As you might imagine after 8 years as President and 18 years on the Committee this has not been an easy decision for me to make! More on my terms as President at the AGM.
In order to have a smooth transition, our secretary Colin Firth has posted the 2023/24 nominations forms early onto the Club notice board for those members to show interest in joining the Committee. It is vital that Lyndhurst Bowling Club has a strong Committee for the benefit and enjoyment of all members. We are fortunate to have an excellent Committee but are always looking for new volunteers to join us. Please could I therefore ask that members take a few moments to look at the forms and hopefully some new people may come forward as volunteers! The same applies to our 3 Volunteer Teams; Green Team, Maintenance Team and the Social Team. We are looking for people to help out also in these areas. (I have my name on all 3 and will continue to volunteer in these roles).
I fully appreciate your support and cooperation to our Club which like me, hopefully you agree is a “Great Club” to be a member of!

Ken and I were really sad to hear you are resigning, but fully understand what a lot of commitment it has been for you. You will be a hard act to follow, always there supporting all the activities as well as us ladies playing in the league. I know one person who won’t be sorry, Eileen, she has also supported the club in giving up her time too. So pleased you’ll still be around though! Thank you for all what you have done.

I wondered when you are closing so I might come up for a roll up, though I’m away 2 1/2 weeks in Sept !
