2023 Ladies’ League Fixtures

 

 

League Bowling:

Lyndhurst Bowling Club has four teams in the New Forest Bowling Association Leagues.

All club members may submit their names for consideration for the league teams.  Team selection is made from the pool of available players and everyone who has submitted their name is given the opportunity to play during the season. We encourage new or experienced members to sign up  and have a go – you WILL get the chance to play, and it WILL help your game!

men
The men’s first team plays in Division 2, the second team in Division 4. Matches are played on Tuesday or Thursday evenings from early May until August.
women
The ladies’ first and second teams both play in Division B. Matches are played on Tuesday afternoons from early May until September.

Club Competitions:

There are 7 internal competitions for club members, including singles, pairs and handicapped. Knock-out matches through the season lead up to our Grand Finals Day in early September – if you don’t make it through the rounds, don’t let that stop you coming to watch and support!
We also have the very popular all day mixed competitions.  Names are drawn out on the day for the various rinks. As well as a fun day’s bowling, everyone can enjoy a buffet lunch, after play barbeque and tea.

Friendly Matches:

Inter-club friendly matches can be either home or away and are played throughout the season, usually on weekend afternoons but occasionally on afternoons during the week. The opposition may be local, or from further afield, and are very enjoyable, providing an opportunity for couples to play together in the mixed rink format. In a relaxed atmosphere, there is nothing at stake but pride!
The afternoon concludes with a traditional tea for all the bowlers, often followed by members and guesting adjourning to a local pub for drinks and a meal!
