Thank you to all who attended the A.G.M. which I believe was a good meeting. Our Membership Secretary will shortly be sending out your renewal requests. If you know of any friends or neighbours who would like to join then please let Andy Bennett know. There is always some “natural wastage” due to age, illness, family commitments etc. so it is important to recruit new members to fill the gaps. If we do not keep our numbers stable, or even increased, then inevitably subscriptions would need to rise. Occasionally, at an informal rollup there may be too many people for the rinks available. If this occurs it is possible to alter the play to a knockout style format which will mean everybody getting a game, even if they have to sit out a few ends. Please also continue to support our social events, an important facet of the Club, with a table top quiz Wednesday 27th November at the Nondescript’s Club and our Christmas gathering with Mulled Wine (or drinks from the bar) and mince pies Sunday 15th December. Joyce will be sending out further details.
