Yes, That’s a Tractor On Our Green!

“Our Green” has closed for the winter but the work on trying to keep it in tip top condition continues – see the pics below! I’m delighted to inform members that all the preparation treatments have taken place in the last two weeks and work was completed two hours before a heavy shower last Wednesday. Mother nature has now done her bit by dumping gallons of rainwater onto the ground all this week, which will wash onto the green really well. Numerous other work will take place during the winter on the green including “deep verti cutting” and regular mowing when necessary. Thanks go to Peter B, Mike M Trevor B, myself in attendance and Adrian our advisor giving his best advice. (Roy our contractor too)
On Ground and Club Maintenance There are at least 30-plus jobs identified that are needed to be done on the list! If you have a spare 2 hours here or there, or maybe longer, please contact me to see if you can help! Anytime during the winter close season jobs can get done. It all helps, a little work here and there, to keep our Clubhouse, Grounds and Equipment up to standard, thank you. No experience necessary of course.
My grateful thanks go to the 8 people who turned up to the work party the day after the green closed 29th September! (yes sorry I was guilty too on this occasion, missing, at a christening)  An appeal please, we DO and MUST have more volunteers next April for the Preparation and Advance “Work Party Morning”. Date to be fixed but it will be early April. No strenuous work needed but unless we have volunteers we cannot get ourselves properly ready for 2020 Season! Ladies and Gents needed so please spare the time and ease the burden on others, thank you in advance!
Looking forward to seeing many of you at our Social Events during the winter and of course our/your important AGM in November.
