With our very successful season drawing towards September here are some important news details.
The Bridle Trophy Sunday 29th August
Entries are now closed for this Sundays all day competition with 30 members enlisted. This should be a good bowling day all round.
Summer BBQ
Thank you to all those who organised, volunteered, provided a salad dish, cooked on the day or were involved on the catering and drinks on the day. This was attended by 60 people and turned out (with feedback) to be one of our best ever! The food was excellent, the weather kind, the fun bowling session different and all those members and guests that attended really enjoyed themselves.
“All England National Finals,” Bowls England at Leamington Spa.
Congratulations go to our Vice President and Ladies Captain, Susan Barnes for reaching the “Senior Pairs” Finals with Janet Ballard from Waterside B.C. This will take place on Friday 3rd September and brings great credit upon Susan and our Lyndhurst club. Good luck in your first game against Durham!
Our Club Finals Day Saturday 4th September 2021.
We are all looking forward to our Club Internal Competitions “Finals Day” With only 3 semi finals to play which will be completed by Wednesday next the excitement builds. Well done to ALL finalists so far. Please could I ask all members to come along on the day and support the finalists? This is a great day to watch some high quality and often closely fought finals. Spectators are an important part of the day so please anytime between 10am and 4pm just turn up. Finalists please remember your “Whites” to make the occasion grand. Captain Adrian Goddard will publish the playing order next Thursday or Friday so check it out to choose your best times to suit you as a spectator.
Club Nights and Roll Ups
hese club events have been very well attended which is great especially with new members. Please note that attending promptly is very important for the order of playing lists and getting the equipment out and ready for play! One big change is for Club Nights from next Wednesday 1st September is that play will begin at 5-30pm prompt (due to failing light) so try and get there for 5pm please. Roll Ups will continue Monday 1.45 for 2pm and Fridays 10.15 for 10.30 prompt starts please to help the Roll Ups get underway.
Friendly Game V NF Non Descripts Club
Sunday 19th September 2021 2pm is the date with more details later and names onto the notice board when the match is listed. All very welcome especially new players.
