This is a reminder that all nominations and resolutions need to be with the Secretary by 24th October 2025. There are still vacancies for Match Secretary (arranging Friendlies) and we are also looking for a new Secretary and Treasurer. Colin Firth (our current Secretary) is willing to continue in his role or to become Treasurer. He will not be able to do both. He is also happy for both posts to be filled by someone else. These posts can by either men or ladies.
If there is only one nomination properly proposed and seconded, then that person will be deemed elected unopposed. If there are more than one nomination properly proposed and seconded, there will be a ballot. Ballot papers will be issued at the A.G.M. to enable voting on any nominations and resolutions without fear of intimidation.
If you know that you are unable to attend the A.G.M. then you may apply for a proxy vote which will be e-mailed to you in the first week of November. This can be made to myself or the Secretary and returned with your vote which will remain confidential and will be included in the count at the A.G.M.
Please note, Any apologies must be given to the secretary before the date of the A.G.M. Apologies will not be accepted from the floor. Any vote will be by secret ballot and will include any proxy votes. Motions from the floor will not be accepted.
Agendas and supporting documents will be published in early November.

Why has there been a change to the voting procedure for the officers. The club members have always had to formally vote the nominee in even if there’s only one nomination. The minutes show this. On whose authority has this been changed? Marie Smith
