Congratulations go to our Ladies Captain Susan Barnes for reaching the Bowls England National Finals at Leamington Spa and progressing to the Quarter Finals! Susan was representing Bowls Hampshire in the Ladies Senior Pairs together with her partner Janet Ballard from the Waterside Club. This was a marvellous achievement and has brought great credit on our Club.

Congratulations go to all our Lady players for reaching the Finals of the NFWBA Club Championships ending runners up. This was a brilliant achievement cover singles, pairs and triples matches during an “All Day Competition” Well done to all concerned, (in no special order) Susan B, Shirley A, Sue F, Carole C, Maggie S and Liz R.

Congratulations also go to Peter Barnes for reaching the Finals of the Officers Cup of the NFBA. Peter played in the finals at Ringwood ending up as runner up in a keenly fought match. Well-done Peter.

There will be another “Post” to cover our own Club Internal Finals Day, last Saturday, as soon as the 3 Woods Singles result is known. Well done to all the Finalists and a special thanks to the spectators who supported the games. It was a great day all round!
