We now move into the end of September and the final week of our outdoor bowling at Lyndhurst. I’m pleased to report that the 2021 season has been incredibly successful and this will be reflected in my Presidents Address at our AGM in November!

This week the two final Monday 1.45pm and Friday 10.15 am “Roll Ups” are taking place as is the Wednesday 5.30 start of our Final Club Night (weather permitting); all welcome of course . Next Saturday 2^nd October is our 2pm “Close of Green Roll Up” followed by fish and chips. (We have now closed numbers for this event sorry; otherwise it will be too crowded in the Clubhouse.)

This next Sunday 3^rd October at 9am we are looking for volunteers to attend a short work party to put the Club to bed for the winter!!! There are ditch mats, some sweeping, benches and chairs to put away and the Marquee to take down. The Clubhouse, Toilets and Changing Rooms will need cleaning and equipment put away. This work with good numbers shouldn’t take too long as there is no practical maintenance or painting to be done. Please please please if you have an hour or so to spare come along, the more attending the quicker jobs get done and it will be finished. All members welcome both Ladies and Gents.

Work on our green starts straight away with treatments and cutting ready for our top dressing by our contractor on Tuesday 5^th October.

We hope to have some planned winter social events details and dates to be discussed and arranged by the committee and our social team of helpers very soon. Please keep an eye on emails and the club website for these to be published soon in mid October.
