Dear Members

Firstly I would like to sincerely thank the 12 club members (you know who you are) who turned up yesterday to help out on our very important annual Open Day. Without your help and support yesterday new recruitment would not have been possible. So massive thanks from me as President you worked your socks off ! Thank you to those members who kindly brought friends along to introduce them to bowls very kind of you! I also received quite a few apologies too from members who were away on holiday or committed with family, who couldn’t be there so thank you all. I will explain the numbers who attended below, but it is vital on our Open Days to have many volunteers present especially if its busy like yesterday, an hour or two is fine? If you were unable to help yesterday then please next year 2023 WE NEED YOU!

Yesterday we had somewhere between 35-40 people through the gate to our club amazing numbers! Some were visitors only, some where guests of members who do not live locally and some were window shopping? However after a lot of hard graft by our volunteer team yesterday we managed to sign up another 13 new members which is fantastic! There were some natural players amongst them so the future looks really good. These numbers don’t quite match our 2021 recruitment, but this is our second highest recruitment total. The future of our Bowls Club is to always keep up good recruitment so we can survive and all of us can enjoy our bowling and our club!!! Well done to all concerned yesterday. (Income from new members £780 to our club!)

Lyndhurst Village Platinum Party Saturday 4th June 1 pm to 4 pm?
At this event the Bowls Club have a stand (with a fun bowls game)again an ideal place to possibly recruit new members? We only have 4 helpers (thank you) but still need a few more please. If you could spare an hour on the 4th June that would be great? Please contact Colin or myself.

Club House Cleaning Rota

A big thanks to all of you who have carried out our club house cleaning each week it makes everything look spic and span and clean. Don’t forget members to check out the Rota on the notice board when its your turn to turn up thank you .

2022 Club Summer BBQ is coming !!!!!! Advance notice the date is Saturday 30th July and there will be more details closer to the time but get the date down in your diaries ahead of time .
