League Bowling 2018. Our NFBA seasons have been good and mixed but with some really enjoyable play and games and I think its fair to say enjoyed by most, most of the time, usually when you win! Mens 1st team finished very well indeed with some strong performances, finishing 5th out of 8 teams in League 2, a tough league? Well done to all those of you who played or were reserves. Mens 2nd team also had a tough season but a cracking end to their season saw 3 wins in a row and albeit finishing 7th out of 8 teams, showed we have some really good bowlers coming through the ranks as well as our more experienced players. A special mention please to club member Charlie Thatcher, who through illness is unable to play but pretty well attended all the first and second team games each week to support that is home and away Thank You Charlie!! Thanks to Past President and players David and Pat Hudson for their special support to the teams and all those others of you who came along to watch. This does make it special for team players. Our Ladies NFWBA teams have been doing well with the 1st team sitting mid table in the “A” League and 2nd team holding up the bottom of the “C” League ( a tough league for them). Well done to all once again and remember Ladies play into September where as mens leagues have finished with just the cup games to go.
Hope you enjoyed your bowling this very hot summer with sprinklers and a very fast Green. Looking forward to seeing as many of you as I can during August and September.
